Alternator wiring.

I want to install a stronger Bosch alternator and that has an internal regulator and connections D+ (lamp/trio) and B+ (positive) in a 1600 Niva?

You need to connect the thick wire off the bosch alty to the big red cables as was connected before. then you will be left with a small connection. This needs connecting to one side of the no charge lamp, and the other side of the no charge lamp needs to be connected to a switched live supply (one that comes on with ignition)

alternatively, if you aren't bothered about the light being there, just connect the thin wire from the alty to a switched live connection in the engine bay (coil?) and it will charge, but not switch the light on when it's not charging. -Simon Allen
